Services

Nature Alberta offers following services to the general public and Nature Alberta member organizations.

Publishing

Since 1992 the Federation has an active book publisher and distributor. In 1992 Nature Alberta self published the Atlas of Breeding Birds of Alberta and acted as the wholesale distributor of this successful publication. The experience gained from this project has led to the publication of a number of other titles, both self generated and produced by outside agencies. Nature Alberta has entered into publication agreements with member clubs, government agencies and individuals to produce Alberta relevant natural history titles. 
Nature Alberta has been received both the Emerald Award and the Premier's Award of Excellence for three of it's publications. 
This publishing activity has now become one of the core funding areas that allows the organization to carry out several of its other activities. As such Nature Alberta has an interest in finding publishing projects that contribute to knowledge of natural history in the province.
