Western Hog-nosed Snake

Adults: 40 cm - 90 cm
Tell tale scales: stocky, with a sharply up-turned snout, light brown, with dark blotching on sides.
Where out there: very specific to areas with sandy or gravelly soil - good for digging and burrowing.
Cool Facts: Hog-nosed snakes are award-winning actors, pretending to be tough if threatened. If their bluff fails, the Hog-nosed snake may roll over and play dead.
