We now have a Facebook page for Living by Water - Alberta, and summer students Courtney and Kim are making frequent updates and contributions with helpful hints about living sustainably and helping our environment (right now there are new links for how to control ants, what products are truly "green", and more!). These tips don't just apply to your lake lots either... we are ALL a part of a watershed, no matter where you live! So check us out:

The Living by Water project had a great summer of consultations-- 62 in total at 6 different lakes! Thanks to residents at Pigeon, Sylvan, Wizard, Clear, Pine and Jackfish Lakes who participated in our program. And a special thanks to our awesome summer students Courtney and Kim for spending their weekends out at the lakes and to Jesse for coordinating the weekend schedules!

The Living by Water Project is extremely excited to introduce our new Shoreline Advisors for the 2012 season. We have put together a dynamic team with diverse backgrounds, and will be working toward shoreline health province-wide in the coming months!
