Nature Alberta is please to present our new website! Over the last few months we have been reviewing content, updating logos and developing resources for our friends and members. We hope you will visit our new website often!
Thanks to feedback from people like you, we were able to create a more robust website with easier navigation. Some important new elements include an updated directory for our Clubs, a “Nature in Alberta” section and an area specifically for youth.
Popular items such as our online store, information on our programs and ongoing publications will continue to be available on the new website. There are many ways to continue your support for Nature Alberta under the “Support Us” tab at the top of the screen.
We are a member based, member driven non-profit organization. Please continue to help as grow and develop. Nature Alberta has been evolving since 1970 and we look forward to the next 43 years!
Many thanks to you and all of our sponsors for making it all possible!
We will continue to improve the website over the coming months. For more information please contact Nature Alberta.
In 1970, six natural history clubs joined together to form the Federation of Alberta Naturalists. Today, this same organization, now known as Nature Alberta serves a membership of over 40 clubs and represents thousands of individuals across the province. These individuals share a passion for natural history.
Natural history is the study of plants or animals, using observational rather than experimental methods.
Alberta is fortunate to have a wide diversity of wildlife and wild spaces. All native plants and animals have a right to co-exist with Albertans, who in turn benefit by having access to a healthy, natural environment. Increasing our understanding of nature will lead to increased enjoyment of it.
