City of Edmonton Solar Electric Pilot Program

A ground breaking photovoltaic system grant program.

Edmonton has launched a ground breaking photovoltaic system grant program providing $3 per watt for both residences and businesses.  The program will pay up to $9,000 of the cost of installing solar-electric systems in homes and up to $18,000 for systems installed in businesses.  The window for reserving funds is September 30 and then installations must be completed by December 31.  For programme details as well as a list of possible installers and the programme reservation forms go to:  < http://www.edmonton.ca/environmental/programs/solar-electric-pilot-program.aspx or call 311.

We would like to encourage you to take advantage of the City of Edmonton grant program. It is important to do it quickly. They have a very short window of availability.  Systems must be completely installed by December 31, 2010 to qualify.  The budget is fairly small:  $100k for residential systems and $100k for commercial systems.
