Nature Alberta appreciates the ongoing commitment of its member clubs to ensuring Alberta’s natural heritage is widely enjoyed, deeply appreciated and thoroughly protected. Supporting the efforts of its member clubs is important to Nature Alberta. With that, Nature Alberta is pleased to offer its member clubs (both Corporate and Affiliate member clubs) the opportunity to apply for the annual Nature Alberta Club Grant.
All Nature Alberta Corporate and Affiliate Member Clubs are eligible to apply for this grant. Membership status will be confirmed by Nature Alberta.
The Nature Alberta Club Grant (one grant of $1000) is issued once annually and is intended to support and facilitate a broad range of day-to-day club activities and operations. The Nature Alberta Club Grant may be used by a club for:
The deadline for applications is September 30, 2016. All interested and eligible clubs are asked to complete and submit the application form in one of three ways. You can either:
All applications will be reviewed and assessed on merit by the Nature Alberta Club Grant Review Committee. The club selected to receive the grant will be notified by October 31, 2016.
The successful grant recipient will be required to have expended all funds and submit a final report to Nature Alberta on or before September 30, 2017 which includes:
In 1970, six natural history clubs joined together to form the Federation of Alberta Naturalists. Today, this same organization, known as Nature Alberta serves a membership of over 40 clubs and represents thousands of individuals across the province. Every one of these individuals share a passion for natural history.
