Description: Melissa will talk about her experience. Destruction of habitat is a leading cause of species extinction. Learn how to use the land you have to create a wildlife habitat in your yard by adding native plants, shelter and clean water. Melissa has been working on her yard for 10 years, and specifically gardening for birds for the last 3 years. She now has nightly Northern Flying Squirrel visits, multiple species of annual nesting birds and this past year 71 different bird species that visited her city backyard in Edmonton.
