The Friends of Jasper National Park, with a vision to foster care and responsibility to protect and share the ecology and culture of Jasper National Park for future generations, encourages stewardship and connects people to Jasper National Park through educational programs, projects and volunteer opportunities.


Full Moon hikes
Monthly, June to September ($15)

  • Are you looking to tackle some of Jasper’s most iconic hikes this summer? Join us once a month to reach new heights, meet new Friends and experience some of Jasper’s most picturesque areas.

Jasper Historical Tour
Daily, June to September, FREE

  • Take a personal journey into the past through a variety of stories about the people, places and events that made Jasper what it is today.

Junior Naturalist
Daily, July & August, FREE

  • This adventurous, one-hour program will provide children with the skills and the confidence necessary to feel comfortable in the great outdoors. Recommended for adventurers 6 to 10 years old.

Naturalist Hikes
Wednesdays, June to August ($15)

  • Are you interested in knowing even more about Jasper National Park? Our weekly themed hikes with a local naturalist will teach you more about the flora and fauna found throughout the park.

Whistlers MTN
Monthly, May to September

  • Join for an exciting alpine volunteer experience atop Whistlers Mountain. Enjoy iconic views during a free trip up the Jasper SkyTram and spend time making a difference in Jasper’s most accessible alpine environment. Includes physically exertive work in an alpine environment.

Trail Sessions
Weekly, June to September

  • Join us for a few hours of trail work, give back to our local trail system and meet new people while making your mark in Jasper National Park!
