Conservation Coordinator – Seasonal

Legacy Land Trust Society (LLTS) is looking to hire 2 Conservation Coordinators. They will be members of a small team based in Olds, Alberta reporting to the Executive Director. The position is primarily responsible for field work including project monitoring and land stewardship activities. Throughout the summer, Conservation Coordinators will visit conservation easement properties and gather data to write reports detailing the health of the property. The position also involves working with volunteers and our fundraising and communications team to support events and write content for social media, the website and newsletters.
Start Date:
- Summer Job May – September 2024
Hours:
- 35 hours/week for 16 weeks
Compensation:
- $18.00/ hour
Conditions of Employment:
- Current criminal reference check that is free of any offenses
- Must respect and actively promote health and safety policies
- Must be willing to work flexible hours - some evening and weekend work may be required
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ license and access to a personal vehicle
- Work activities will be mainly based in the Olds, AB office and field locations throughout Mountain View County with some field locations in surrounding counties
