BLESS and QR Codes in Nature

Are you involved with an organization that looks after a natural area in Alberta? Join BLESS and similar organizations to discuss how technologies can help. On May 6, 2025, the Big Lake Environmental Support Society (BLESS) will present how they use QR codes to allow the public to report problems. Is this a solution for your organization?

This one hour online session, run from 7-8pm, is open to all organizations who steward a protected area. This includes both Crown and private land (e.g. land trusts). There is no cost to attend the session but you must pre-register by May 5, 2025.

This is the inaugural session organized by the Stewards of Alberta’s Protected Areas Association (SAPAA) to support organizations like BLESS and you.  In addition to exploring topics such as QR codes, this is an opportunity to share best practices, network, and discuss common experiences. The next topic, planned for the Fall, will be on Volunteer Safety and complying with Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
