Sign Installers with the EALT
Saturday, August 27, 2022 10:00 AM 2:30 PM
The Edmonton and Area Land Trust (EALT) are needing volunteers to help prepare for the grand opening of the JBJ McDonald area. This land is almost adjacent to the Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary and Lily Lake Natural Area and supports contiguous habitat for wildlife to travel through. It's a stunning boreal ecosystem, and volunteers will get the first glimpse of it.
Volunteers will help install the map, boundary, and directional signs throughout the land to prepare to open it to the public. The EALT will need help carrying heavy signs and metal posts throughout the land and installing them.
They will meet at JBJ McDonald promptly at 10:00 AM, and leave the site by 2:30 PM. Volunteers should come prepared with appropriate footwear, long pants, a lunch, water, and a camera or binoculars if they'd like. Waterproof footwear is strongly recommended for this property, as there are a few wet areas on the routes they will be posting signs on.
