1 temporary full-time position for 8 months, intended specifically for students currently enrolled in an environmental, ecological, conservation or related coop or equivalent post-secondary work experience degree program, commencing in May 2024.
Are you passionate about wildlife and habitat conservation and interested in supporting the City of Edmonton’s Conservation team at the Edmonton Valley Zoo?
The Edmonton Valley Zoo works to inspire the protection and conservation of wildlife. We would like to hire a passionate conservation focused individual to support on site conservation outreach/education, green practices and in-situ ecological monitoring. As a member of the Conservation team the co-op student will support Valley Zoo conservation priorities including wildlife monitoring, conservation action plan development, GIS and spatial analysis and wildlife conservation based research and analysis to support a variety of initiatives. You will succeed in this role if you are a creative thinker and problem solver, and can achieve results in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday, some weekends may be required
Salary: $22 - $26 Hourly
