You Came Through, Our Fund Grew!

Like many non-profits, pandemic times put a financial squeeze on Nature Alberta. We had to get creative with our fundraising this year. And thanks to supporters like you, we surpassed our 2021 fundraising goal!

Even before the pandemic, we were taking proactive steps to secure a reliable, sustainable source of ongoing funding. The Nature Alberta Endowment Fund, administered by the Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF), is invested for long-term growth. The dividends we earn from this fund provide a stable source of operating revenue to help us continue our mission of promoting, conserving, and protecting Alberta’s natural heritage well into the future.

In 2021, through a series of donation-matching programs, every dollar contributed to our Endowment Fund was multiplied several times over!

When word got out about what a huge impact every contribution would make, you really stepped up! You donated in person at Family Nature Nights. You donated directly online. You gave gifts of dedicated contributions to loved ones, and requested they do the same for you. You bid generously in our first-ever Online Auction. You came through with overwhelming support of over $30,000!

Through those matching programs, this figure grew. When all was said and done, the Nature Alberta Endowment fund was bolstered an incredible $149,932!
