Join Lu Carbyn, Adjunct Professor, University of Alberta and retired Canadian Wildlife Services biologist for a lecture about birding on Sunday, May 7 from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the Wild Birds Unlimited (12204-107 Avenue NW, Edmonton). This course is ideal for novice birders and seasoned birders looking to expand their knowledge.
Then attend a field trip on either Saturday, May 13 or May 20th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary led by Lu Carbyn himself! The Sanctuary is a 1 hour drive west of Edmonton. You will provide your own transportation to the sanctuary and pack your own lunch. The Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary (https://www.ealt.ca/lu-carbyn-nature-sanctuary) is home to 95 species of birds so you are likely to observe a vast variety of species of sparrow, warblers, and waterfowl. You may even catch a glimpse of iconic species such as the Common Loon and Trumpeter Swan.
