Join Lu Carbyn, Adjunct Professor, University of Alberta and retired Canadian Wildlife Services biologist for a lecture about birding on Sunday, May 7 from 10:30 AM to 12 PM at the Wild Birds Unlimited (12204-107 Avenue NW, Edmonton). This course is ideal for novice birders and seasoned birders looking to expand their knowledge.
Then attend a field trip on either Saturday, May 13 or May 20th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary led by Lu Carbyn himself! The Sanctuary is a 1 hour drive west of Edmonton. You will provide your own transportation to the sanctuary and pack your own lunch. The Lu Carbyn Nature Sanctuary (https://www.ealt.ca/lu-carbyn-nature-sanctuary) is home to 95 species of birds so you are likely to observe a vast variety of species of sparrow, warblers, and waterfowl. You may even catch a glimpse of iconic species such as the Common Loon and Trumpeter Swan.
Lu’s guided field trips sold out fast in 2022, so get your tickets today to reserve your spot to learn firsthand about Alberta‘s birds from an experienced field biologist.
Included in the $45 fee, is your very own copy of The Atlas of Breeding Birds of Alberta: A Second Look – valued at $24.95.
