Crooked Creek Conservation Society of Athabasca – Conservation Coordinator
The Crooked Creek Conservation Society of Athabasca (CCCSA) is a Registered Alberta Non-Profit
Society and Environment Canada Ecogifts Charity. Volunteer citizens provide the Athabasca Bioregion community with many free programs -as a natural history club we organize nature surveys and counts, nature studies, education and appreciation programs, ecological research, and a strong voice for Nature at planning meetings
and development hearings.
They are looking for a Conservation Coordinator to join their team.
You will be required to work with CCCSA members in implementing Conservation easements within the framework of the Land Trust Program, promote Land Trust opportunities with private land owners in the Athabasca region, attend monthly meetings with Regional Land Trusts of Alberta, maintain records, organize community education opportunities to promote understanding of the importance of
biodiversity in nature, assist with the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) program, liaise with conservation groups within the area on mutual conservation projects, assist with the annual bird count, and monitor the CCCSA website and respond to requests for information
This will be a part-time position with 16 hours a week for one year.
