The Friends of Jasper National Park, with a vision to foster care and responsibility to protect and share the ecology and culture of Jasper National Park for future generations, encourages stewardship and connects people to Jasper National Park through educational programs, projects and volunteer opportunities. Full Moon hikes
Monthly, June to September ($15)
Old Fort Point

  • Explore Jasper National Park after dark. Learn more about the night sky, the full moon, nocturnal animals and more while enjoying a moonlit hike. Click here to register.

Jasper Historical Tour
Daily, June to September, FREE

  • Take a personal journey into the past through a variety of stories about the people, places and events that made Jasper what it is today. Click here to register.

Junior Naturalist
Daily, July & August, FREE

  • This adventurous, one-hour program will provide children with the skills and the confidence necessary to feel comfortable in the great outdoors. Recommended for adventurers 6 to 10 years old. Click here to register.

Wildflower Hikes
5th & 15th, June to August ($15)

  • Wildflower season is upon us! Join your Friends once a month to learn all about the world of wildflowers, some interesting facts as well as tips and tricks for identification. This interpretive program includes a moderate hike and will take an estimated 3 hours. Click here to register.

Alpine Trail Sessions - Whistlers Mountain
Monthly, May to September

  • Join for an exciting alpine volunteer experience atop Whistlers Mountain. Enjoy iconic views during a free trip up the Jasper SkyTram and spend time making a difference in Jasper’s most accessible alpine environment. Includes physically exertive work in an alpine environment. Click here to register.

Valley Trail Sessions
Weekly, June to September

  • Join us for a few hours of trail work, give back to our local trail system and meet new people while making your mark in Jasper National Park! Click here to register.

Self-led Offers

  • Grab a Hiking Club Passport, Birding Checklist or Naturalist Activities Kit in our non-profit gift shop located in the Jasper National Park Information Centre! These self-led offers will be your guide and connect you to Jasper National Park.
