Grebes of North America and Alberta

Bird enthusiast, Lucia MacQuarrie, will share interesting researched facts on grebes as well as her personal grebe observations and photos and discuss what makes a grebe a grebe, the types of grebes, and how grebes differ from ducks. We will look at their anatomy, range, mating, and nesting behavior and follow the lifecycle of a grebe family observed and photographed in Edmonton.
