Hike4Birds Part 2

Exploring (and Birding) Canada’s West Coast Along the Trans Canada Trail

Speaker: Dr Sonya Richmond

Edmonton Nature Club invites you to join Sonya and Sean once again as they share stories of their time trekking through the western provinces of the nation on The Trans Canada Trail, the world’s longest recreational pathway. This presentation continues to share the progress of their #Hike4Birds across Alberta and British Columbia to the Pacific Ocean as they complete their 14,000 km trek across Canada.
Throughout their talk Sonya and Sean will highlight how easy it is to get outdoors, be an explorer, and enjoy nature – whether in your own backyard, the backwoods, or in the Boreal Forest. In addition, they will talk about Important Bird Areas, great trails and show why it is important that a new generation becomes involved in conservation and Citizen Science.
