South Regional Representative on the Nature Alberta Board of Directors

Nature Alberta is looking to fill the Regional Representative role in our South Region on the Nature Alberta Board of Directors with an enthusiastic and engaged volunteer. No previous board experience is necessary.

The regional representative will attend Nature Alberta’s Board of Directors meetings four times per year (generally Jan, April, Sept, early Nov) and the annual AGM (generally late Nov).

Responsibilities:

  • Identify nature clubs within the region that may want to join Nature Alberta
  • Bring forward regional issues to the Issues and Advocacy Committee as an active member of that committee
  • Help define Nature Alberta’s role for advocating for issues affecting nature in Alberta
  • With the Nature Network coordinator, advocate for nature conservation and regional issues to the NA audience

Time commitment: 5 to 10 hours per month
