Helping the long-toed salamanders (listed as a Species-at-Risk in Alberta), and other amphibians in the park is a very popular volunteer activity. Thus, we will again do a draw to determine those who get to volunteer. Through some light physical labor to keep the amphibian byway system working well, you’ll become a part of the salamanders’ story in the park and assist Parks Canada with actions that are a part of its Multi-Species Action Plan for Waterton Lakes National Park and Bar U Ranch National Historic Site.
