Fence-free Fiesta

Located 35 minutes from Edmonton, Bunchberry Meadows is a popular hiking destination that is open to the public year-round. Spanning across 259 hectares, this conservation site encompasses a captivating blend of old-growth forests, open meadows, and wetlands. It is a haven for some of Alberta's last remaining true old-growth forests. The presence of jack pines, inactive sand dunes, groundwater fens, and wetlands contributes to an awe-inspiring diversity of landscapes.

Your day will be spent removing an old barbed-wire fence on the property that is obstructing safe wildlife movement through the property. Please note it is about a three-kilometer walk from the parking lot to the fence.
